France Opens Border to Iraq’s Christians

Not that many years ago, France was an atheistic socialist nation, much like the United States is becoming. Like the US, they weren’t friendly to Christians.

Over the past few years, France has awakened to the dangers of Islam and have started passing laws restricting Muslims in their country. At the same time, their attitude towards Christians has been improving.

According to reports from the BBC, the French government has announced that they are prepared to offer asylum to Iraqi Christians that are being forced to flee for fear of the genocide being carried out by Islamic militants.

Prior to 2003, there were approximately 60,000 Christians in Mosul, a city in northern Iraq. That number had dropped to around 35,000 prior to the ISIS (Islamic State in Iraq and Syria) led genocide. A UN report places the number of Christians left in Mosul to a mere 20 families.

You would expect a supposedly Christian nation like the United States to open its doors to Christian refugees fleeing such persecution, but the Obama administration is too busy allowing illegals in the southern border and thousands of Islamic immigrants into the country. To be honest, I wouldn’t expect them to open up to Iraqi Christian refugees based on how much effort the Obama administration went through to try to export one Christian family who fled religious persecution in their home country of Germany.

If the shoe was on the other foot and it was Christian militants persecuting Muslims in Iraq, Obama would be using Air Force One to help bring them back to the US. But as long as it’s his Islamic buddies murdering Christians, he’ll continue to turn a blind eye to them. It’s sad that the Obama administration has no compassion on persecuted Christians when a country like France does.
